George Hightower died last Saturday at the residence of his son-in-law, William Ramsey, corner of Plum and College streets after a long and wearing illness. The deceased was 74 years of age and an old settler of this county, having been engaged in the blacksmithing trade in this city for a number of years. For several years past he has resided at Smartsburg but when his death occurred. The funeral took place on Sunday at 3 p.m., Rev. Hugh McCalip officiating. Interment at the Odd Fellows cemetery.- thanks to kim h
